Behavioral Measurement Database Services (BMDS) is pleased to announce the recipient of the 2023 HaPI Measurement Scholarship. The scholarship provides a $500 award to a U.S.-based graduate student in the field of health or psychosocial science (e.g., psychology, counseling, sociology, social work, nursing, public health) who is in their 2nd year or beyond. The scholarship funds are intended to support the selected student’s master’s thesis, dissertation, or other research project in the health or psychosocial sciences.
This year’s recipient of the 2023 HaPI Scholarship is Cheyenne Reyes, a graduate student in the Clinical Psychology program at the University of Rhode Island. Ms. Reyes plans to use the scholarship award to fund her dissertation research (under the direction of Dr. Mark Robbins) on compassion fatigue. The goals of her proposed research include developing a multidimensional self-report questionnaire designed to assess non-occupational compassion fatigue, specifically for use with adults who are not employed in a medical or helping profession.
Congratulations, Cheyenne! We wish you all the best with your dissertation research!
We would like to thank everyone who submitted applications for the HaPI Measurement Scholarship. They were all strongly grounded in theory and psychometrically rigorous. Thank you all for your interest.
